Have you encountered challenges in your workplace?

At some point in your career, it’s very likely you will. And when it does, you’ll see the signs - manipulation, bullying, yelling, micromanagement, lack of productivity, lack of trust, high-stress levels, infighting, and discrimination. But what can you do about it? How can you make your workplace more transparent, nurturing, and inclusive, and open the conversation around managing difficult situations to everyone?

I share several demonstrative strategies to reframe these difficult situations and improve the workplace environment, so everyone can feel psychologically safe.

Discover techniques and supportive solutions to help you (and others) become “unstuck”, and move the organizational culture forward to success.

Life of leadership

Conflict Management as an Organizational Leadership Competence -- Workshop

According to the Center for Creative Leadership, over 85% of leaders experience conflict on a regular basis.  Organizational conflict in and of itself is not really the problem.  It is how leaders handle conflict and disagreements that matter.  On the one hand, healthy conflict can lead to innovative ideas, increase creative energy, and seeks to resolve complaints from employees.  On the other hand, antagonistic conflict can build walls between people, create a toxic organizational culture, and make it difficult to get work done.

In this workshop, the following will be discussed:

1. Describe the 4 organizational leadership conflict styles
2. Understand 5 communication methods for resolving conflict, disagreements, and complaints
3. Describe 5 types of workplace conflict and how to handle them
4. Identify 10 principles of conflict management as a leadership competence

5. Discover 5 methods of resolving organizational conflict as a leader

The Challenge of Leading the Next Generation in the 21st Century and Beyond

We live in a world of rapid geo-political and socio-economic change spawned by technological innovation, driven by economic inequality, and divided by ideological discourse. Still, the interconnectedness of globalization and technological innovation has irrevocably changed the organizational and operational environment. Rapid change within the global political context and marketplace produces complex and uncertain outcomes that impact the operations among transnational corporations. The world has become more volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) within the political, educational, and economic environment. The biggest leadership challenge facing the business environment today is not only how to lead in an unpredictable environment but also navigate an organization when experiencing unanticipated events. National and business leaders are in uncharted waters, and traditional leadership

approaches need to change and adapt in this new environment.

The following will be discussed:

1. The evolution of leadership practices in a in this new environment
2. Mitigating the impact of toxic leaders in a VUCA context
3. The challenge of developing tomorrow’s leaders (tactical, operational, strategic)
4. An innovative organizational leadership framework as character-based leaders
